Why Sunday Nights?
People often ask us, "Why does Grace Park meet on Sunday nights?" Knowing that most churches meet on Sunday mornings, we acknowledge that it's a great question. In fact, in the early days of Grace Park's existence, we met on Sunday mornings. In time we required a larger meeting space, and there wasn't a suitable location available on Sunday mornings in the area. Thankfully, in August of 2005, Spring Hill United Methodist Church graciously opened their doors and allowed us to use their facilities on Sunday nights. Born out of necessity, we have now found that Sunday nights are a breath of fresh air for many who attend Grace Park. Stepping "outside the box" of normal church routines, individuals and families are able to have a relaxed pace on Sunday mornings, sharing a leisurely breakfast, spending family time with God, and going to the park to have fun! We're encouraging our community of faith to take full advantage of the opportunity for a non-distracted, God-centered time of peace for themselves and their families. A great benefit of observing Sabbath in this way is that the Grace Park community gathers together after a purposed, peaceful day ready to worship.
